Hill Circuit Starts- 7AM Sharp
They say “Hills pay the bills”, join us for an introduction to Hill workouts with Queens Distance! Anyone that attends will certainly come to understand why they call it Jackson HEIGHTS. A very brief warmup down 73rd Street gets you an excellent view of the Northern Queens skyline (LGA, Triboro Bridge) as you quickly descend to the base of Jackson Heights.
It’s very simple, this is NOT a “Hill Sprint” Workout, at least not at the beginning. We will take at least 4 climbs from 30th Avenue to Northern Blvd, and it is suggested you increase your pace each time and focus on good form. Use the drop from Northern to 30th Avenue as a chance to recover and not push the pace.
You’ll realize that Jackson Heights is full of varying hill types. There are steep hills and the long, never ending ones. As you can see, you will easily rack up over 500 feet of climbing when you reach the end. Once you’ve completed the final hill, you are welcome to head back home! (Or return to the original meetup spot, depending on your schedule)
