It’s been two long years, but Queens Distance is set to return to Forest Park! Join us for this 10 Miler (4 Loops) or 5 Miler (2 Loops) set for March 11th, the day we Spring Forward and practically welcome the arrival of Spring!

Certainly not a pancake flat course, but not incredibly hilly, this course will offer a balanced race on your Spring Calendar. Whether you are using this as an opportunity to train towards a Spring Marathon, or hone in on your speed, this race will have a little bit of everything for you.

Bathrooms can be located by the start of the race, near the Woodhaven Blvd end of the route.

Transportation- Take the R or M train to Woodhaven Blvd, then take the Southbound Q53, Q52, Q11 or Q21 to Myrtle Avenue and Woodhaven Blvd. You can also take J Train to Woodhaven Blvd, then walk up Woodhaven Blvd to the entrance of the park. Another alternative is to take the E or F Train to Union Turnpike: Kew Gardens and make your way through Forest Park drive (this is about a 2 mile jog). The Q55 also leaves you a block from the Race Setup Area.

Parking- If you are driving, you can set your GPS for the Forest Park Carousel where there is a Fee-Free Parking Lot. You’ll have to walk out and cross Woodhaven Blvd to access the Race. You may also have a shot at parking directly on Woodhaven Blvd.

Course- The Course features a 2.5 Mile Out-And Back of Forest Park Drive. Starting from the Woodhaven Blvd side, you’ll pass by Victory Field Track, heading above Myrtle Avenue, heading through the rolling hills of Forest Park Drive, staying to the right lane of the road. You’ll finally reach the Metropolitan Avenue side of Forest Park Drive, and make the turnaround to head back to the Woodhaven Blvd side, remaining on the right side of the road. Once you pass the timing mat, you will have completed the first loop of 2.5 Miles, and continue on with your race. (3 More loops for 10 Miles, 1 Final Loop for 5 Miles)

  • Race fees are not refundable, nor are they transferable from year to year. Once you are signed up, race fees are used for race expenses and cannot be returned.

    I, the undersigned, hereby waive and release any and all rights and claims I may have against The Queens Distance Runners, Flushing Meadows Corona Park, elitefeats Inc., the Host Facility, the Sponsors and the city of Queens for damages their agents, employees, representatives, successors and assigns, from any and all liabilities, claims, demands and causes of action whatsoever arising directly or indirectly from my participation in this event, even if any such liabilities, claims, demands and causes of action arise in whole or in part out of the negligence of any of the above mentioned organizations or individuals. If signed by a parent or guardian, the parent or guardian agrees to waive, release and hold harmless the above mentioned organizations and individuals from any and all said liabilities, claims and causes of action which may be asserted on behalf of the entrant. I attest and verify that I am physically fit and have sufficiently trained for the completion of this event and that my physical condition has been verified by a licensed medical doctor. Further, I hereby grant permission to any and all of the above mentioned organizations and individuals to use any photographs, videotapes, motion pictures, recordings or any other record of this event and my participation in this event for any purpose whatsoever.
